ERRAC at Innotrans Berlin – Event postponed to 27-30 April 2021
Innotrans is the world’s leading innovation trade fair that take place every two years in Berlin, and where the railway transport sector has an opportunity to showcase its latest developments and technologies.
The thirteenth edition of InnoTrans will take place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 27 to 30 April 2021.
At the upcoming InnoTrans climate-friendly transport solutions will be one of the key topics. Travellers who leave their car at home and take a bus or train instead reduce CO2 emissions by two-thirds. In Germany, if only one per cent of car users switched to public transport, CO2 emissions would drop by one million tonnes a year. As the leading trade fair for transport technology InnoTrans is taking up this subject and at the opening event, under the heading ’The Future of Mobility in times of climate change’, will be providing a forum for a future-oriented exchange among exhibitors, trade visitors, associations and policymakers. This exchange will benefit in particular from many new exhibitors who will be presenting their new products at InnoTrans 2021.
Innotrans is actually sub-divided into five different trade fair segments dedicated to Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. A distinctive characteristic of Innotrans is an outdoor and track display area, where all types of wagons and trains can be displayed along its 3,500 metres of track.
ERRAC will be present at the 2021 edition. This participation will enable ERRAC to make itself known and exchange ideas with the various stakeholders in the sector. Innotrans will also be a formidable ground to advertise the ERRAC Rail 2050 Vision and compare it to the actual innovation for the coming years. Last but not least, in accordance with its technical platform role, particular attention will be given to knowledge collection and sharing among the community.
